How to prevent
Bearings Failures
- Adhere to proper / consistent lubrication schedule and ensure lubrication compatibility.
- Calibrate grease gun.
- Clean grease fitting before re – greasing.
- Identify the type of grease being used and make sure the grease used for follow –up.
- Keep operating environment as clean and dust / debris free as possible.
- Use appropriate tools and standard practices while installation, disassembly and maintenance work.
- Attend to the anti-rusting of bearings (Avoid use in humid places and gloves should be worn in order not to wet the bearings with sweat).
- Do not unpack the bearings till the time for immediate installation since the bearings have anti- rust treatment and package.
